Benefits of Greening: Ordinance on the Protection and Restoration of Nature in Tokyo

The content includes a requirement for a certain percentage of greening during large-scale building developments!

In Tokyo, under the "Ordinance on the Conservation and Restoration of Nature in Tokyo" enacted in 2001, when constructing new buildings or making additions or renovations on sites of 1,000 square meters or more, it is mandatory to implement greening that meets certain standards on the site and buildings. Businesses must submit a greening plan in advance. Additionally, the amendment to the "Urban Green Space Conservation Act" in 2004 included provisions requiring a certain percentage of greening for large-scale building developments in areas designated by municipalities. [Construction Example] Recovery of Damaged Lawn! Greening of Parking Lot

Even if the grass is damaged, it can recover! A case study of integrated pavement layer greening method for parking lots.

In the 2020 fiscal year, we would like to introduce a case where "Tafutafu Park" was constructed at the parking lot of the Kusatsu City No. 2 School Lunch Center. This project was commissioned by the Kusatsu City Hall and carried out in Shiga Prefecture. The area covered was 415 m². This method allows grass roots to extend into the sub-base layer (crushed stone layer), enabling recovery even if the surface of the grass is damaged. 【Case Overview】 ■ Project Name: 2020 Fiscal Year Kusatsu City No. 2 School Lunch Center Parking Lot ■ Location: Shiga Prefecture ■ Construction Date: February 2021 ■ Area: 415 m² ■ Purpose: Parking Lot *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
